International Flights

Bali

At the moment most international flights arrive in Bali’s Denpasar Airport.  From there you can get a connecting domestic flight to Lombok, these flights are only 25 minutes long but then an additional taxi and boat transfer are necessary.   Or if you are planning a few nights in Bali you can use some of the more direct fast boat routes to the Gilis.  For more details on this, visit our Getting Here page, which outlines the best options available.

Lombok

With the growing reputation of Lombok and the Gilis, international flights are now available direct from select destinations on the closest neighboring island, Lombok.  Both Singapore and Kuala Lumpur now offer direct flights which can simplify your travel to the Gili Islands.  More flights are being planned at the moment and will begin to operate later in the year.

Silk Air now flies 4 times a week from Singapore directly to Mataram’s Seleparang airport. Scheduled flights now leave every Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with a journey time of only 2 hours 40 minutes, add this to the travel time from the airport to the Gilis you could reach us in as little as 5 hours!

Air Asia is also operating daily flights to Mataram from Kuala Lumpur via Surabaya.

The flights through Lombok can save time if they correspond well with your connection.  Depending on your international flight arrival and departure times, you might have to stay the night in Bali.  Remember when planning your departures, if you are scuba diving, you must wait 24 hours after your last dive, before flying on an airplane.

Our recommended method of direct transportation is then with one of the trusted fast boat services on Gilibookings.com or for the best of budget services, Gilitickets.com. These boats leave in the morning and will have you in the Gilis within 2 1/2 Hours, giving you more time to relax and settle into our delightful bungalows!
