PADI Emergency First Responder Course

emergency first responder Gili AirThe Emergency First Responder is the only PADI Course which doesn't involve either confined or open water sessions! The only way you will get wet is if your instructor throws a bottle of water over you! But don't be perturbed - this course is anything but boring! On this rewarding one day program, you will learn all the primary and secondary assessment skills to help you assess and assist in most emergency or accident situations that you may (but hopefully not) come across.

During the course you will take part in different scenarios and role plays, our Instructor will teach you life-saving skills such as CPR, choking procedures, bandaging, splinting, and O2 use.  You will also practice injury, illness and accident assessment and will become more confident in your abilities to respond to an emergency situation by practicing these essential skills in workshops throughout the course.  These skills will be useful in your day to day life as well as preparing you to assist in a diving emergency.

The Emergency First Response Course is a 1 day, non-diving program but is usually done in correlation with a PADI Rescue Course as it is a prerequisite to have basic CPR and first aid skills to complete the Rescue course.  This certification or an equivalent first aid certification is also needed for you to become a  PADI Dive Master and is a great course to update regularly.   For more information on how to keep your first aid and CPR skills current with Manta Dive, contact us at info@manta-dive-giliair.com.
